FIRST ENCOUNTER BEACH

First Encounter Beach is a place with historic significance.  This was the site of the first encounter between Native Americans and the Pilgrims prior to their settling in Plymouth.   Like many of the bayside beaches, First Encounter is a great beach for families with kids.   At high tide First Encounter offers swimming.  At low tide, there are tidal pools with hermit crabs, sea shells and little fish for you to explore.   First Encounter Beach does have bathrooms but does not have lifeguards or showers.  Parking is close to the beach. Parking fees apply.
