LeCount Hollow Beach in South Wellfleet has magnificent steep dunes leading down to the large sandy beach. This beach is not handicap accessible. LeCount Hollow is a great beach for skimboarding, bodyboarding, and surfing. During low tide, a large sandbar emerges out in front of the beach. LeCount Hollow is lifeguard protected during the season and there are restrooms available.
LeCount Hollow Beach is right off the Cape Cod Rail Trail and has plenty of bike parking. Parking for vehicles is for local residents and weekly renters with a parking permit. Parking does fill up quickly. There's no parking fee after 4:30. Bonfires are allowed with a permit which can be obtained at the Wellfleet beach sticker office.
