Skaket Beach

Skaket Beach located in Orleans is a great beach for people who prefer warmer water and beautiful sunsets.  It is a great beach for families with small children or those who prefer calm beaches with small waves.

While in low tide, one can walk the flats which are home to the hermit crab, minnows and horseshoe crabs.  Like many of the bay beaches, the tide brings the water in quickly making some swimming possible.

Facilities include restrooms and a small snack shack, allowing for a longer stay on the beach.

A parking fee does apply but is good for multiple beaches such as Nauset which is 7 miles away.  You can enjoy a wave beach and calm beach in the same day.
